The community pool will be closed starting Oct. 18th for the season!
The Community pool will be open on May 8th. Timed entry spots WILL be required to enter the pool area.
Please review the below updated pool policy and procedures effective May 1st, 2021 and are in effect until further notice.
Dear Caedmon’s Creek Homeowner,
The Caedmon’s Creek pool will officially open on May 8th, 2021 @ 8:00 am- 8:00pm on a modified operational schedule. There are COVID-19 CCHOA pool specific guidelines, as well as, the adapted guidelines from the CDC and SC DHEC that will be enforced to ensure the safety of all Caedmon’s Creek residents. All homeowners should visit www.caedmonscreekhoa.org to access, read, sign, and return VOLUNTARY COVID-19 WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNIFICATION AGREEMENT created by the CCHOA attorney at McCabe, Trotter & Beverly, P.C.
Homeowner’s are required to utilize the “Sign up Genius” located on www.caedmonscreekhoa.org or download the FREE app “Sign Up Genius” to schedule your pool reservation. This is reservation system is being incorporated due the size of the pool and DHEC capacity limit of 20 people at one time in the pool area. The swimming reservation time frame is 1.5 hours/session. This will allow up to 120 people access to the pool per day with a 30-minute close down window between the scheduled time frame for adhering to the cleaning schedule. There are other subdivisions in the Irmo/ Chapin area utilizing “Sign Up Genius” as well. This is one of many safe guards, that will be in place to ensure the safety of all pool participants, while being compliant with DHEC pool capacity during this time. It is our hope that the DHEC public pool restrictions will be lifted, as we all move forward. Until then, we must adhere to the various guidelines stated below.
According to the CDC, the virus that causes COVID-19 cannot be spread to people through the water in pools, hot tubs, spas, or water play areas. However, the opportunity for transmitting the virus does exist in surrounding areas (areas outside and around the pool). In addition to the above safe-practices, swimming pools should comply with the following additional guidelines to further minimize the potential for transmission and spread of COVID-19 in and around pools:
Guidelines Specifically for Public Swimming Pools
1. Prohibiting sick patrons from going to the pool area.
2. Implementing policies and procedures to limit exposure opportunities by using social distancing (6 feet or greater) when setting up pool deck furniture, re-enforcing the social distancing of patrons with signage and/or floor/deck stickers and by limiting the time a party can remain at the pool/ on the pool deck.
3. Avoiding group events, gatherings, or meetings both in and out of the water if social distancing of at least 6 feet between people who don’t live together cannot be maintained. 15. Following, to the extent they apply to your facility, the CDC Considerations for Public Pools, Hot Tubs, and Water Playgrounds During COVID-19
It’s is in everyone’s best interest to diligently follow the above guidelines. Enforcement of these restrictions and cleaning procedures are entirely the responsibility of the operator/owner of the facility. CCHOA reserves the right to close the pool if restrictions / compliance are not achieved /maintained. Please see the statement below from SC DHEC.
“In those cases, where compliance with these restrictions is infeasible or cannot be achieved due to lack of cooperation by patrons or other issues, it is advisable that the facility remain closed until compliance can be achieved and maintained, or until restrictions are further relaxed” (per DHEC).

8. You will only have 1-hour use of the pool at a time to allow other residents to have their turn
9. Please be considerate of others, by not setting a pool reservation for consecutive days unless there is an opening available during the next day after looking at the reservation site after 8pm of the current day.
10. During COVID-19 restrictions, Cabana reservations will not be accepted, until further notice to allow our residents to use the pool/pool area.
Volunteers Still Needed:
• Volunteers to verify reservations, signing persons in and out, and overseeing pool/pool area capacity.
The CCHOA hope that the current pool guidelines will be removed in the coming weeks per DHEC and pool participant’s compliance. CCHOA / DHEC reserves the right to close the pool/pool area during this time if the above stated guidelines are not adhered to by all participants. We as, that you review the guidelines with your entire family to ensure overall compliance.
